Hi friends its long time since i blogged ,so today i am going to teach you how to install  a open source network simulator  in your Ubunt Machines  (12.04)

NS2 (Network Simulator 2)

1.Open terminal in your Ubuntu machine either through dash or by pressing    (ctrl+alt+t)
2.Now you need to install ns2 to do that type the following command
sudo apt-get install ns2
then it will ask for admin password provide it then it will install ns2 in your system
3.Now you have ns2 through which you can simulate network topologies
this will create tracefile as output .But if you need to see the operations in     graphical mode then you need to install nam(network animation )
4.Installing nam again in terminal type the following
sudo apt-get install nam
it will install and to test whether ns2 is installed or not just type ns in terminal
and it will give you a % symbol then its installed properly in your system .
5.Now once you have set up the environment to do network simulation
you can program in TCL scripting to simulate them .
